This was found in a box left by a family member. It is a horse figurine done in clear and frosted glass. On the bottom is both a label and an acid signature identifying it as Lenox, Fine Crystal, Made in Germany. It s 7 long, 5 high, and 2 wide. From what I have been able to find out - it was made in the late 1980-1990 s, is named Racing in the Wind , and is 24% solid lead crystal. It is in per...

Chinoiserie pieces have long fascinated me, so I was delighted to have come across this Chinese cabinet with carved panels covered in gold leaf and handpainted scenes on the sides and the top. I find the side panels even more interesting than the decoration on the two doors and am amazed at all the details of these scenes. There is also a lovely scene painted on the top (refer to picture 12). T...

Stickley furniture is some of the finest that's still manufactured here in the US. These nightstands are crafted from solid mahogany, and the wood grain is simply exquisite! I photographed both of the tops to showcase the wood grain (refer to pictures 12 and 13). There is a date stamp on the underside of the top drawer, indicating that they were made in August 2002 (refer to picture 16). The fr...

The warmth of the mahogany veneer on this buffet by Lexington is delightful, especially when bathed in subdued sunlight on a July afternoon! This piece is the perfect complement to the larger buffet that I currently have available, having just two doors that open up to reveal two drawers for silverware. The interior is completely open under the two drawers, allowing for plenty of storage. There...

The stylized horse and the lively colors are what attracted me to this work by Josep Puigmart (1932-2020), a Spanish artist who had a prolific life and resided in Sitges, Spain, for many years. The title of this work is Caballo de la Selva, which is translated literally as "Horse of the Forest." This is a lithograph in a limited edition of 260, the number of this copy appearing in the lower lef...

Soak up the sun's warmth as you relax on this retro wrought iron chaise lounge with its two cushions covered in pink and red peonies. This chaise lounge matches the patio set that I've just listed. It has a row of dogwood blossoms on the back and the arms and looks like something produced by Woodard, even though there is no label on it showing the manufacturer. As a vintage piece, there are a f...

This is a great old wooden arm chair. Sadly it does need re upholstered. The stuffing looks to be straw & wiry hairs, sticking through, so I am thinking horse hair also as the filling. Clean lines and handpainted floral motifs define this diminutive demilune cabinet by Ethan Allen. The three doors open up effortlessly to reveal adjustable shelves inside, and the single drawer opens up smoothly. Lexington Furniture isn't a brand that I normally offer, but I found this mahogany buffet to be exceptionally well made and appealing. The four drawers in the middle section cannot be removed. The top drawer has dividers for organizing and storing flatware. The two doors open up to reveal a glass shelf that can be adjusted for height (refer to picture 7). The wood grain on the top is lovely (re...

The latest addition to my collection of wrought iron patio furniture is this vintage table and four armchairs with dogwood blossoms on the backs and arms. The diamond latticework on the four chairs is in remarkably good condition with no breaks or rust. The table has a few areas of rust on the top (refer to picture 12), but the base is in good condition and free from rust. The top can be remove...

This coffee table is in good condition overall. Heavy with a glass top that has a nice tiered edge. The turtles/reeds are metal. The lower area feels like stone/coral.
